PRIMER SANDED

The primer, made with marble aggregate based on acrylic dispersion, offers the ideal preparation for concrete surfaces, cement and lime plasters, and other mineral surfaces for thin-layer plasters. It is available in 217 shades from our palette.

Suitable for both exterior and interior use, this product is perfect for adequately prepared wall and ceiling surfaces. It serves as a foundational layer for thin-layer structural plasters and can be applied to appropriately prepared surfaces like adhesive for mesh in insulation systems, concrete, mineral plaster, and smooth walls. It’s also compatible with concrete, traditional plasters, even mineral surfaces, and surfaces finished with filler compound with embedded reinforcing mesh.

The primer, formulated with marble aggregate and acrylic dispersion, is ideal for preparing various mineral surfaces, including concrete and lime plasters, for thin-layer applications. Suitable for both inside and outside, it acts as a base for thin-layer structural plasters and adheres well to multiple prepared surfaces, including those with reinforcing mesh.

Composition

  • The product is water-dilutable.
  • The product is based on styrene-acrylic dispersion.
  • Very white marble and dolomite powders free from rust are used as fillers.
  • The product contains added titanium white.
  • The product is colored with high-quality pigments throughout.

Unique features

  • The primer does not separate in the bucket over time, which reflects on the quality of the surface.
  • Once dried, it creates a rough surface.
  • It enhances the adhesion of plaster to the applied surface.
  • It facilitates texturing of decorative plasters.
  • It reduces the consumption of plasters applied to the primed surface.
  • It decreases the likelihood of salt stains on the colored plaster surface.
  • The product is colored throughout to even out wall color.
  • There’s an unlimited range of colors, including 215 from our palette.
  • It has a short drying time on the wall to prevent weather-related issues.

Additional information

  • Available in various colors matched to plaster color.
  • Enhances plaster adhesion and facilitates its texturing using fine marble aggregate.
  • Levels the base color to ensure a perfectly even dried plaster color.
  • Extends the plaster’s open time by reducing substrate absorbency.
  • Quick drying reduces the risk of rain wash-off and accelerates plaster application.
  • Reduces the risk of efflorescence on dried plaster by sealing the substrate structure.
  • A special combination of thickeners prevents the aggregate from settling at the bucket’s bottom, making product usage easier.
  • Thoroughly mix to achieve a uniform consistency. Do not aerate the primer during mixing by using too high mixer speeds.
  • Do not add any accelerators, retarders, or other additives to the primer.
  • The substrates listed below must be dry, clean, load-bearing, and free from contaminants, dust, oily stains, anti-adhesive agents from formworks, and all substances that can reduce adhesion and cause discoloration on the surface of dried plaster.
  • Concrete – poured at least a month before applying plaster. Clean the surface from anti-adhesive agents, then rinse with water and wait until dry.
  • Cement plasters – applied at least a week before plaster application.
  • Reinforced filler layer – clean and dry.
  • Thin-layer plasters / Painted surfaces / Other mineral surfaces – clean, dry, and strong.
  • Can be applied with a roller or brush.
  • Apply the primer in one, even, and continuous layer.
Consumption
  • Consumption depends on the application technique and substrate quality.
  • Consumption is approximately 0.4 kg/m2. A 15kg bucket yields about 40m2.
  • The primer dries within 2 hours under normal conditions (20°C, 60% air humidity).
  • Drying time depends on temperature and humidity, substrate properties, and the primer application method.
  • Immediately clean construction tools and equipment with water after use or contamination.
  • Dried material can only be removed mechanically.
  • Collect fresh material with a soft, cotton cloth. Collect dried material and dispose of it as waste.
  • Dispose of used primer containers and unused buckets in accordance with local waste management regulations.
  • The product should be stored in tightly sealed buckets, in a dry, cool place at temperatures between 5-25°C, protected from direct sunlight.
  • Shelf life in originally sealed buckets: 12 months from the production date.
  • Apply the primer only when the substrate and ambient temperature is above 5°C and below 30°C. Maintain this temperature also during primer drying.
  • Do not apply the primer with air humidity above 80%, during rainfall, or on a wall exposed to direct sunlight. Maintain these conditions for at least 2 hours after primer application.
  • The product is water-dilutable. Use following safety procedures for construction chemicals. Follow the product data sheet guidelines.
  • Ensure proper ventilation when using. It’s recommended to wear protective goggles and gloves while working with the product. Change contaminated work clothes for clean ones.
  • SKIN CONTACT: wash thoroughly with soap and water.
  • EYE CONTAMINATION: rinse immediately and thoroughly with running water (for 5-10 minutes) and contact a doctor.
  • BREATHING DIFFICULTIES: immediately move the person to fresh air and contact a doctor.
  • HYGIENE: wash hands after working with the product, and wash work clothes after finishing the job.
