MOSAIC FINISH

Mosaic finish based on pure acrylic resin offers unconventional coloration and surface texture. It stands out for its high elasticity, resistance to blanching, dulling, impacts, and scratches. Unaffected by adverse weather conditions, its aggregate is highly resistant to UV radiation.

This water-dilutable finish is easy to work with. Suitable for both external and internal use, it can be applied to properly prepared walls, ceilings, and pillars (including round ones). As a final layer, it’s compatible with concrete, traditional finishes, even mineral surfaces, and surfaces finished with filler mortar with embedded reinforcing mesh.

The mosaic finish, formulated with pure acrylic resin, boasts unconventional coloration, high elasticity, and resistance to UV radiation and various wear factors. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, it adheres well to multiple surfaces, from concrete to reinforced mesh-finished areas.

Composition

  • Water-dilutable product.
  • Product based on acrylic dispersion.
  • Colored quartz sand used in the product.

Unique features

  • Exceptionally high resistance to weather conditions thanks to the use of resin with the highest resistance to photoaging.
  • Very durable aggregate colors due to the application of appropriate light-resistant coatings.
  • 24 colors from our palette.
  • Protected against biological actions – mosses and lichens.
  • Quick drying time on the wall to prevent problems caused by changes in weather conditions.
  • The finish composition is designed to provide maximum color protection from ultraviolet radiation.

Additional information

  • Product based on acrylic dispersion resistant to aging, clouding, and water effects.
  • Extended open time facilitates texturing.
  • Quick drying minimizes the risk of the finish being washed away by rain.
  • Before applying MOSAIC FINISH to the wall, mix manually (with a trowel) or in a mixer – do not use mechanical stirrers. Avoid creating foam.
  • Do not add any accelerators, retarders, or other additives to the finish.
  • Substrates, as listed below, must be dry, clean, solid, and free from contamination, dust, oily stains, anti-adhesive agents after formwork, and all substances that reduce adhesion to the substrate and might cause discoloration on the surface of the dried plaster.
  • Concrete – poured at least a month before plastering. Thoroughly clean the surface of anti-adhesive agents, then rinse with water and wait until it dries.
  • Cement plasters – applied at least a week before plastering.
  • Reinforced layer with filler mortar – clean and dry.
  • Thin-layer plasters / Painted surfaces / Other mineral surfaces – clean, dry, and solid.
  • Priming – prime all surfaces with PRIMER FOR MOSAIC colored to the appropriate shade to equalize substrate absorption, enhance adhesion, improve texture achievement, extend open time of the applied plaster, and harmonize the color of the dried plaster.
  • Apply plaster to the wall to the thickness of the grain with a stainless steel trowel, avoiding unevenness and depressions, which adversely affects the aesthetics and durability of the finished surface. Do not smooth out.
  • Apply plaster continuously, always working towards the fresh edge of previously laid plaster to avoid visible joints. Use existing architectural lines and wall edges to eliminate visible plaster joints.
  • Minor color differences in dried plaster may appear when using buckets from two different batches (compare batch numbers on the bucket or mix 3-4 buckets in a tub to even out the color).
  • Protect the plaster surface from drying too quickly (from strong wind or high sunlight). Newly applied plaster should be protected from precipitation until it’s fully set. The plaster during setting has a whitish color unrelated to the chosen shade. The final color is visible only after drying.
  • At a temperature of about 20°C and a humidity of about 65%, the total drying time is about 24 hours. Higher humidity and lower temperature prolong the drying time. Ventilate closed rooms after plastering until the characteristic odor disappears.
  • Application temperature +5 to +25°C.
  • Immediately clean construction tools and equipment with water after use or contamination.
  • Dried material can only be removed mechanically. Collect fresh material with a soft, cotton cloth. Gather and dispose of dried material as waste.
  • Dispose of empty plaster containers and unused buckets in accordance with local waste management regulations.
  • The product should be stored in tightly closed buckets, in a dry, cool place at a temperature of 5-25°C, protected from direct sunlight.
  • Shelf life of the product in originally sealed buckets: 12 months from the date of production.
  • Apply primer only when the substrate and ambient temperature is above 5°C and below 30°C. Such a temperature should also be maintained during plaster drying.
  • Do not apply plaster with air humidity above 80%, during precipitation, strong winds, or on a wall exposed to direct sunlight. These conditions must be maintained for at least 24 hours after applying the plaster.
  • Plaster should not be applied on horizontal surfaces exposed to weather elements or on surfaces exposed to constant water action.
  • The manufacturer recommends using plaster colors on facades with a brightness index of at least 20.
  • The product is water-dilutable. Use while adhering to OSH standards for construction chemicals. Follow the product data sheet.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation at the application site. It’s recommended to wear protective goggles and gloves when working with the product. Replace soiled work clothes with clean ones.
  • EUH 208 Contains: Tetrahydro-1,3,4,6-tetrakis(Hydroxymethyl) imidazo[4,5d]imidiazol-2,5(1H,3H)-dione and a mixture of 5-chloro-2-methyl-2H-isothiazol3-one and 2-methyl-2h-isothiazol-3-one. May cause allergic reactions.
  • SKIN CONTACT: Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
  • EYE CONTAMINATION: Rinse immediately and thoroughly with running water (for 5-10 minutes) and seek medical attention.
  • INGESTION: Rinse mouth with water, do not induce vomiting, seek medical advice immediately.
  • INHALATION: Ensure fresh air, consult a doctor if there are any complaints or if you feel unwell.
