DECOR CONCRETE

Decorative Concrete Finish captures the essence of architectural concrete. It’s a ready-to-use mortar formulated from a blend of acrylic and silicone resins. Perfect for offering protective coverage, this finish is versatile, suitable for walls, ceilings, columns, and a range of other surfaces both inside and out.

Designed for both exterior and interior environments, it can be applied to walls and ceilings. This finish not only offers decorative aesthetics but also serves a protective function. It adheres well to properly prepared surfaces, including adhesive for mesh in insulation systems, concrete, lime-cement and gypsum plasters, gypsum board, and fibrous gypsum panels. The application technique involves using a stainless steel trowel, with texture nuances achieved via a stainless steel spatula.

Decorative Concrete Finish is a versatile mortar, formulated from acrylic and silicone resins, ideal for both interior and exterior surfaces like walls, ceilings, and columns. Besides its aesthetic appeal, it provides protective coverage and adheres well to various prepared surfaces, with texture nuances applied using stainless steel tools.

Composition

  • Water-dispersible.
  • Based on polymer and silicone binders.
  • Uses ultra-pure marble fillers, free from rust contaminants.
  • With the addition of titanium white, which enhances durability and color intensity.

Unique features

  • The product is colored throughout with high-quality pigments.
  • Standardly available in 6 colors, with other shades available upon request.
  • It is protected against biological agents, such as mosses and lichens.
  • Reinforced with two types of fibers with complementary properties.
  • Allows for extended working time on the wall for a better visual effect.

Additional information

  • The substrates listed below must be dry, clean, sound, and free from contaminants, dust, greasy spots, release agents from formwork, and all substances reducing adhesion to the substrate and that can cause discoloration on the dried plaster surface. The substrate must always be primed.
  • Concrete – poured at least a month before applying the plaster. Clean the surface thoroughly from anti-adhesive agents, then rinse with water and wait until dry.
  • Cement plasters – applied at least a week before the plaster.
  • Reinforced layer with filler compound – clean and dry.
  • Thin-layered plasters / Painted surfaces / Other mineral surfaces – clean, dry, and strong.
  • On a properly prepared and primed substrate, use a stainless steel trowel to evenly apply a layer approximately 1-3 mm thick. The appearance of the resulting texture depends on the thickness of the layer. A thicker layer allows for more pronounced “eroded” effects.
  • After application, “stamp” the plaster surface with a stainless steel trowel, pulling it perpendicular to the wall. A thick sponge, foil, or gloved hand can also be used for this purpose.
  • Once dried, when the trowel no longer sticks to the substrate, smooth the surface but without filling any gaps.
  • After smoothing, to achieve an additional gloss effect, use the same trowel to smooth the texture again.
  • Plaster dries within 6-8 hours under normal conditions (20°C, 60% air humidity). The plaster’s binder becomes transparent during setting. The milky color of the wet layer is a natural characteristic of the product.
  • The drying time depends on temperature and air humidity, substrate properties, and plaster thickness. Application should be avoided in conditions of high humidity, rain, fog, and low temperatures. Excessive drying time due to such conditions prevents the coating from achieving the intended parameters.
  • Construction tools and equipment should be cleaned with water immediately after use or contamination.
  • Dried material can only be removed mechanically.
  • Fresh material should be collected with a soft, cotton cloth. Dried material should be collected and discarded as trash.
  • Used containers for primer and unused buckets should be disposed of in accordance with local waste management regulations.
  • The product should be stored in tightly sealed buckets, in a dry, cool place at temperatures between 5-25°C, protected from direct sunlight exposure.
  • The shelf life of the product in originally sealed buckets is 12 months from the production date.
  • Apply the primer only when the substrate and ambient temperature is above 5°C and below 30°C. Such a temperature should also be maintained during the plaster drying process.
  • Do not apply plaster at air humidity levels above 80%, during atmospheric precipitation, strong winds, or on walls exposed to direct sunlight. These conditions must be maintained for at least 24 hours after applying the plaster.
  • Plaster should not be used on horizontal surfaces exposed to weather conditions or surfaces continuously exposed to water.
  • The manufacturer recommends using plasters with a brightness index of at least 20 for facades.
  • The product is water-soluble. Use following safety standards applicable to construction chemicals. Comply with the product’s specification sheet.
  • Ensure proper ventilation in the application area. It’s recommended to wear protective eyewear and gloves when working with the product. Contaminated work clothes should be replaced with clean ones.
  • SKIN CONTACT: Wash thoroughly with soap and water.
  • EYE CONTAMINATION: Rinse immediately with running water (for 5-10 minutes) and seek medical attention.
  • BREATHING DIFFICULTIES: Move the affected person to fresh air immediately and contact a doctor.
  • HYGIENE: Wash hands after working with the product, and wash work clothes after finishing work.
